Well, when we first found chiles when we were exploring México, we called them pimientos instead. But the Aztecs called them, uh...how did they say it...?

Anyway, it sounded like chile, so that's what we named them! It is kind of weird that they sound like 'chilly', but that's just England's silly way of saying it.
