008 // Video | up in the end is where we'll meet
[It was a usual Monday morning. Or at least, that was what Minami expected when she went to wake up her brother nice and early. However, when she found the door oddly unlocked after her futile attempts at knocking...
Empty. The room was devoid of any person, save for the stunned redhead. Maybe he went out without her knowing? It happened sometimes... She tried her best to keep positive, even though she felt like something was wrong with this situation. Hastily, almost desperately, she rummaged through her pockets for her Dreamberry. Contact list... Contact list...
....
Gone. His name, which had always been right under hers on the list, was gone. Soon, the emptiness of the room migrated to her very heart as the realization began to sink in.
Trying her best to keep her hands from shaking, she made a video call. Her expression is unreadable, which could alert most that what she was going say was not her usual silliness:]
For those of you who know Minato Arisato, he's... gone.
[Saying those words made her gut wrench. To her, it was almost as if he died a third time. Despite that, she forces a smile, though her voice becomes shakier the more she spoke.]
Ahaha... I guess this means I have no one to keep me in check, huh? Leaving a few things behind too... That's just asking for me to loot it all... How silly of hi... hi...
[Her quivering smile finally broke as she couldn't hold back anymore. Minami sank to the floor on her knees, dropping the Dreamberry as she cried uncontrollably.]

[She took a deep breath. Minami didn't know why she was telling this all of a sudden. Maybe it was because if she finally was able to discuss it, she'd have a little more closure. Maybe she'd be able to get over it, and have no regrets when she returned to her world to become the Great Seal.]
Ten years ago, my family and I got into an accident, and... I was the only one that lived. For the 'Minato' here, I was the one who died. I'm sure you can put the pieces together...
[Her gazes moves towards the window, almost as if it were to a portal to her world.]
So... Even if I return to my world, it's going to be a very long while before I see him again.

It's a strange thing to grasp, but considering all that he's seen in his world and this one, he's come to accept these kind of things easily. In another reality, Minato is dead.
... In some ways, he can understand, but in a reverse sort of way. ]
That... must've been strange, to see him here again.
[What's he supposed to say? "I'm sorry" again?]

Yeah... At first, I couldn't believe it. I still ended up getting attached again...
[She looks back at Dominic and smiles sheepishly.]
... I guess I'm telling you all this because I feel like I can trust you. Sorry for bringing it up all of a sudden.

Well, if you ask me, that's a better choice than just distancing yourself for that reason...
[He's a firm believer of the saying "Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all", after all.]
Don't be. I'm honoured that you'd trust me with that.

[She was teasing, of course.]
Still, thanks. I feel a bit better now that I have it out in the open, but... I still kinda want to be alone for a while.
[With that, she shoves the book and box into his hands. TAKE IT, DAMN YOU. :| Minami then yoinks Minato's headphones and MP3 player, and heads out towards the door, starting her journey up to her room so she can emo in peace. As she stepped through the doorway, she waves at him from behind, though she doesn't bother look back.]
I'll be giving you a bigger portion for tonight's dinner!
