[The video feed turns on to show Minato with... an Absol glaring daggers at her. She doesn't seem to notice, and if she does, she's probably trying her best to ignore it.]

Hey, it's Minato! Happy November, everyone! I hope you're all not acting weirdly today! See, I was going to announce something, but I think it was better to wait until everything calmed down.

[Well, here goes nothing... Minato was sad about the loss, but she couldn't let it show. Even if she's the only one here now, at least her Pokemon can keep her happy---She relays the bad news with a smile.]

Um, Ryoji Mochizuki went home. If you have any of his Pokemon, it'd be cool if you'd let me know. I just want to have them accounted for.

Oh! As for me, I have Mina-kun~ Right, Mina-kun---

[Minato attempts to reach out and pat the Absol's head, but he ends up using BITE on her hand. It's super effective! Minato visibly winces, but maintains her smile.]

[After a few moments of awkward silence, she withdraws her hand, which is bleeding profusely, from his teeth.]

Eheh! He's still unfriendly as ever! I hope he'll warm up to me soon, though... I heard a rumor that stronger Pokemon from other people would respect you more if you collected Badges? Maybe I should do that... Or if anyone can tell me other ways to get along with Pokemon, that would be gr---

[She realizes that the Absol was walking away from her while she was speaking, and the camera becomes shaky and sporadic as she gives chase.]

Wait! Come back, Mina-kun! LET ME LOVE YOOOOOOOUUUU---

[Suddenly, the feed ends. Anyone who's near the Violet City Pokemon Center may have noticed a girl being SUCKER-PUNCHed into the nearby lake by an angry Absol. It's super effective.]

[Now, since they can't really die here, he doesn't have to worry as much. But that still gotta hurt.]

[The feed finally turns back on after a few minutes, and Minato is completely drenched in water. She laughs sheepishly and waves with a bloody hand. Her Absol's just chilling some distance away from her.]

Yeah, I'm fine! I've had worse than this, really! [She says this as if it's completely normal.]

Worst than whatever happened after that bite?

[How bad could that be?]

Oh, yeah. Tons of 'em! Mostly consisting of stuff like fire or lightning or getting your foot stomped on. The last one was the most painful.

[Why is she so happy...]

I don't know about that. I had stuff worst than a stomped foot, but that one's pretty high up there.

[Just go with the flow, Atsuro...]

I guess so! But having your foot stomped on or your face slapped is really painful when it's from a girl you've angered because you accidentally teased her too much!

[Minato sighs, looking wistfully up at the sky like an old person reminiscing of the olden days.]

I didn't know Yukari was that sensitive about being scared of ghosts...

[He...really can't deny that. Yuzu's slaps can really sting.]

Especially if you really like teasing that girl, too.

Yep, she's my best friend and dorm mate back home. She's not as violent towards me as she is to Junpei, but man, nothing tops the cold shoulder I got when I told her about One-Man Hide 'n' Seek!

Maybe you should've went with something else, like Red Crayon?

But Red Crayon's just sad instead of scary! I'd like to think the kid is at peace now since the couple found the room.

Either that or they ended up releasing the kid's vengeful and malevolent spirit by opening that room, which curses their lineage for all eternity. That would be a more exciting outcome.

More exciting and potentially continue the tragedy. Since I doubt they'd get locked inside a room, if they somehow continue their family line without dying off.

Unless all who interacts with them must deal with unfortunate accidents.

Maybe what happens is that whatever couple moves in is cursed to lock their firstborn child in that room! It's so classic! Just like the cursed videotape!

Yeah! And the firstborn child's spirit won't be free until the next couple moves in and find the room! It'd just keep going on and on.

That was... violent, and stands there unsure what to do, but that doesn't last long. With long steps, she runs over to where the girl was thrown. ]

[The surface bubbles a bit, but then SUDDENLY... Minato bursts from the surface, glimmering with droplets of water scattered in the air, as well as flailing Magikarp.

... It's not actually as impressive as it sounds. In fact, it's rather pitiful.

Minato clings to the lake's edge, coughing. She flashes a smile at the girl.]

I'm just fine! I'm only slightly dead!

That doesn't sound like you're fine.

[ Even though Menma is bubbly most of the time, she does tell the difference between life and death. She drowned in a river, after all.

Either way, she offers her hand to pull the girl up. Or at least try. ]

[Oh, Minato knows the feeling. Her soul became a door decoration. ANYWAY. She takes the offered hand.]

Thanks! You're really nice. That's good! Good children don't get eaten~

[... That makes no sense at all. Minato actually pulls herself out of the water, but she gives the girl the benefit of the doubt by making it look like she's helping. She stands up and begins wringing out the water from her hair and clothes.]

Geez, I better grab a change of clothes before I catch a cold...

Whoa, do children get eaten here?!

[ She... widens her eyes, apparently scared. It's short lived though- she helps the girl up (or that's what she thinks), and smiles brightly. ]

I would give you my dress, but then I would have nothing else to wear!

[She's not going to answer that! It will forever be a ~mystery~. Minato waves her hands, gesturing that she wants no such thing!]

I don't think that's a good idea, either! Only a heartless sadistic lolicon would allow a girl to go around in the buff! Anyway, I better head to the Center and---

[She glances around to locate where her bag was sitting, and goes to pick it up upon seeing it. In a delayed reaction, she realizes something. Wait a second...]

Where's Mina-kun?! [She didn't think he would actually run off...!]

... Lolicon?

[ Heeeead tilt with popping question mark. What's a lolicon... Somehow that term rolls nicely on her tongue, but it looks like it ain't a good word, is it? Before she can ask, she sees the other girl panic. ]

Mina-kun? Who's Mina-kun?

She rarely ever gets scared at things, but the sight of all that bleeding makes her pale. ]

[GIVE HER A MINUTE---Okay. The feed snaps back on, and Minato is laughing heartily despite being completely drenched in water.]

Ahahahaha! I'm totally fine! Though the fish Pokemon didn't make great conversationalists. How may I help you?

You sure? You look like you swam from Olivine to Cianwood and back...

[Surely she could relay it to him when she gets back... even if the Ryoji here was different from the one she knew. Really though, fooling around was the best way to keep herself from being sad.]

[Crow blinks a few times, confused with that statement, but then smiles. He figures it's not easy to lose somebody from your world, having been through that more than once, but this girl seems to be taking it pretty well, or at least she has a nice way of dealing with it.]

Hey, Ryoji! Crow here. I didn't get to say bye, obviously, so I thought I'd leave you a message at least! Take care of yourself there, 'kay? Until the next time!

[The duelist waves his hand a bit and makes a pause to mark the end of the message.]

[Minato grins and gives Crow a thumbs-up gesture.]

Perfect-o! I'm sure that Ryoji would love to know that his friends here still got his back~

[She lets out a chuckle before continuing.]

By the way, I'm Minato! Thanks for looking out for him! He can be a bit dense about the world sometimes, but he's really a sweet guy!
