001 ☾ VIDEO // ACTION FOR ROUTE 29
[It's around nighttime when this video post comes up. A girl in a school uniform with a pair of read headphones on her neck smiles at the camera, seemingly used to this situation and not bothered by it at all. Judging by the scenery, she's already left New Bark Town.]
Hey, wandering around the woods at night like this reminds me of a story. If you're interested, keep listening. After all, no one's ever too old for a nice bedtime story!
[Her smile not faltering, she begins to recount the horrifying tale.]
Okay, so here it goes. Rumor has it that should one ever venture into a forest at night, you'll have the chance of encountering a creature resembling a very tall and skinny man wearing a suit with no face. His arms and legs are so thin and long, that they almost look like wires! If you stare at him too long, he will take you. But no matter how far you run, he'll always be there when you look back. Just standing there and watching.
Some say that if he doesn't take you away right there and then, you'll start to feel sick from that day on. Not only that, but if you look out your window, he'll be there. Just standing and watching. Until the day you go insane or he finally takes you away. Now, some rumors say that his victims are found a few days later hanging off the branches of dead trees, their internal organs removed and put back inside, only encased in a strange sac of unknown material.
Oh, and the thing about him? The more you think about him, the more likely he'll come to you.
[Without any warning, the face of a Duskull flies towards the camera. A deliberate jump scare. Minato giggles, pulling the Duskull away from the camera and holding him with her free arm.]
Well then! Wasn't that a fun story? I should make this a routine or something! Wouldn't that be nice?

[Then again, it's a kid. She'll really needs to cut him some slack. Okay okay, she'll ease up on the trolling.]
Seriously, though, sorry. I didn't think Bender Man would be that scary. Would you like me to tell you a nicer story to make you feel better?
Re: [Video]

All right, the story begins in a kingdom from far away and long ago... The King, after years of mourning the passing of his first wife, finally remarried. The King was to go on a journey, and left the castle in care of the new Queen. However, though the Queen acted sweet to the King, she was a cruel, vain, and selfish woman who mistreated the servants, the knights... even the little Princess, the King's only
daughter!
The day after the King had left, the Queen gave the Princess a hundred impossible chores to do. Scrub every inch of the floor until it sparkles like diamonds, make the flowers bloom during the winter... Things like that. The Queen told the Princess if she did not complete her chores by tomorrow's sun rise, then she will be banished from the castle.
[Minato pauses, trying the check for any reaction or comments.]
Re: [Video]
The animals will help her, right? [He then covers his mouth. He didn't quite mean to speak that out loud-now he probably sounds ridiculously rude.]
[The answer was without hesitation, but it didn't seem like she thought his interjection was rude. She thought it was fun to have input, after all. Minato waits for a reaction to the probably unexpected answer before she decides to continue it.]

[All right, where was she? Oh, right.]
So, that night, as the Princess tried her best to finish her chores, she looked up at the window and saw a shooting star. It's said that if you make a wish on a shooting star, it would come true. The Princess closed her eyes and wished that the Queen would disappear.
Suddenly, a box appeared on the windowsill. Curious, the Princess opened it and found a small bell inside. Attached to the bell was a note:
Ring the bell
Wish it well
If you’re kind
They won’t mind
If you’re naughty
They will be nasty.
Desperate, the Princess rang the bell once, and wished for her chores to be completed. Suddenly, little fairies appeared! They went to work at once, not stopping until they were finished.
[Yeah, pretty typical, but hey. Nice stories weren't always the most unique.]

[Minato's really good at this, she thinks! Maybe she could have been a school teacher in another life...]
The next morning, the Queen was surprised that the Princess could finish her chores. She checked every nook and cranny, hoping to find the slightest flaw in the Princess's work. She grew suspicious, and once again assigned the Princess the impossible chores.
And once again that night, the Princess pulled the box from under the bed and rang her bell, wishing for her choice to be done. But little did she know... The Queen had pretended to sleep and hid herself, and saw it all! And thus, the Queen wanted that bell for herself.

One day, the Queen asked the Princess to pick some flowers in the woods. Though the Princess was suspicious that the chore was so simple that day, she decided to do it by herself. While the Princess was away, the Queen stole the bell from under the Princess's bed. She rang the bell many times and made many wishes. To rule the whole kingdom, to own the most beautiful dresses, to have a room made of diamonds... When she finally stopped ringing the bell, she noticed the group of small fairies staring at her. The Queen was overjoyed, thinking that her wishes would be granted.
But instead, the fairies began to fly around at the fastest speed, destroying everything in the castle, from the windows to the furniture. Even the Princess was surprised when she returned! The Queen begged the Princess to tell them to stop, but the Princess had no way too. So they could only wait until the fairies were finished making a mess of things.
The King had returned from his journey on the same day, and was enraged by the state of the castle. The servants pointed to the Queen as the culprit, but he found it hard to believe. He decided to ask his daughter, and she told him the entire truth about the Queen. Disgusted, the King banished the Queen from the kingdom.
Days later, the Princess made her last wish on the bell, as she tossed it out the same window she found it: Since her wish had already been granted, she wished that it would be given to someone else who needed the bell as much as she did.
The End!

Great, I hope that makes up for it. Say, if you could wish for something, what would it be?
Re: [Video]
And if I had one wish...I'd wish for a lot of money! I never have enough... [Nobita, that's because you spend all of it. All of it.]
[She couldn't blame him, really.]
Anyway, I'm Minato! Minato Arisato. And you are?
Re: [Video]
[You know, Nobita, she only married you because you couldn't take care of yourself on that ski trip and she had to do everything.]
